Rant...About used bikes and titles...

So I'm helping my neighbor look for a decent supersport. Nothing perfect by any means, just something that runs..or at least kind of runs and has the bodywork at least hanging onto the frame.

So after sifting through hundreds of Craigslist postings and the rest of the web I get 5 or 6 probables, a little ruff on the eyes and some rash but run and 'have titles'..but not one person had a titled bike in their name.

They were either holding it for someone, or they took it from their kid, or they bought it last year but never bothered to get the titled changed over or at least didn't get it notarized so I could do a 3rd party transfer etc, etc....basically paper work nightmares..

Id really have to hate to go to a dealer and pay that 'premium' markup but It may end up that way. At least there wont be any paperwork headache.

/end rant

You just need to know what to look for, if i bike doesnt meet your/his requierments then keep looking. No point in trying to make a bike work for a deal you dont want.
