If we do it as a 5 day, I prefer to do it during the week.. less traffic on the backroads as opposed to the weekend...

BUT

It won't be a noob friendly ride.. pace and miles required per day...

OK, "semi-official" dates are looking like July 22 thru July 30-31.. once it firms up I'll put it in the Events section.

Oh, yeah...

This is starting to look GOOD!

Need some suggestions for things to do and sites to see around:

Hot Springs (bring your trunks)
Mountain View (Blanchard Caverns)
Eureka Springs

We'll be overnighting in Hot Springs, and spending a day around there riding and touristing
Same in Mountain View, Blanchard Caverns and Push Mountain
Two days in Eureka Springs, maybe 3.. go into OK and MO for roads and sites

Looking at coming back across N Dallas and hitting the In-N-Out Burger, then farther West to Lampassas before heading home...

if you stay in Eureka Springs I recommend the Swiss Village Inn, where I have stayed several times.

They are centrally located and walking distance from several good places to eat and they like motorcyclists.

Even provide rags and towels so you can clean up your bike.

Still in planning stages but coming along nicely...

day 1 ride up to Hot Springs
day 2 ride around Hot Springs area, tourist
day 3 ride up to Mountain View
day 4 ride around the hills and check out Blanchard Caverns
day 5 ride to Eureka Springs via Missouri
day 6 ride around Eureka Springs, tourist
day 7 ride to Mena AR
day 8 ride to Comanche TX or there abouts, stop at In-N-Out Burger in Dallas for lunch
day 9 head home back roads

The extra days give us shorter loops and chance to relax a bit..

Route home is still subject to change and debate
