Simoncelli is saying his race telemetry shows he didn't brake any later that lap for that turn than the preceding laps. He's pretty much blaming Dani, stating that Pedrosa was having problems with that turn.

I think it was a high risk pass with no real thought as to what would happen when he made the move. If Pedrosa was having problems then he should have known cutting his line would make it even worse. Just not a smart move at all by Simoncelli. He took an extreme risk and was lucky not to wreck out alongside Pedrosa.

Simoncelli has gotten faster and faster. He's hungry for that podium and it sure looks like it's overriding his ability to be a solid tacticion out there.

dunno, looks like Pedrosa had the rear end loose and tried to stuff it in under Simoncelli.. who had a little wider line but looked like a normal turn until the midget stuffed up under him. Not like he hasn't done the same move before.. remember Hayden?

I'd like to see Simoncelli's line thru that turn for a couple laps to really tell..

Simoncelli came around the outside to make the pass. You'd have to see it from a few turns back up until that point.

although Im not a rossi fan it is what it is, no matter how it happened he got a podium

as far a the Simoncelli/Pedrosa... dont matter what his telemetry shows Perdrosa had the line and was in the corner when Simonceli chopped his nose off, he had the pace to pass and stay ahead without having to make a questionable pass. Im all for bumping bars and trading paint but when its leading to wrecks and the same guy is involved you have to question his actions

It looked clean to me, besides Simoncelli was just setting up for the next right hander. I thought it looked like Pedrosa came in too hot and couldn't hold his line, purposely running it wider. I know Simoncelli's mouth is what ultimately got him trouble, but that was racing in my opinion.

the difference between WSBK and GP:

Simoncelli gets a ride through from 2nd/3rd..................finishes 5th.

Biaggi gets a ride through from WAY out in first.................finishes 10th.

Chitty move, you have to see it from different angles Grinchy. IF CE, Cal, Rossi, Stoner, etc say it was a dirty move, then you are correct they all are losers LOL

Like you called it, Super Sic, fastest Hoda rider, oh wait????

Great to see Rossi up there, just 14 seconds behind but there non the less.

It feels very much not like racing when you're the one eating dirt because someone else made a move.

For me, the allure of motorycle racing is the ability of riders to control these machines at ludicrous speeds with such precision as to be in close proximity to other racers and not get all Nascar up in that .

And this is why it's a bad move. Simoncelli is standing the bike up in the turn before contact was made. Looks to me like he wasn't going to make the turn anyway.

I agree with your point and i dont like seeing great riders injured. but for pure selfish entertainment its pretty fun.

I know there is a lot of tension and anger between these riders. so much money and competitiveness involved.

except for edwards...everyone loves his !

They have a sport for you already: NASCAR.

let's break it down: Simoncelli made the pass on Pedrosa on the entrance of the last corner before entering the straight, he also exited that corner well ahead of Perdrobot. It was on the straight where Pedrosa made the pass and took the inside line bringing us to the entrance of the corner of the incident. The riders know how aggressive Celli is, Pedrobot took the inside line knowing that Celli was going to put up a fight. If it's anybody's fault it was pedrobot's, trying to take the inside line and not even out braking Celli.

if pedrosa had the inside .. and lets say simo was running that wide and hot. Couldn't pedrosa just stayed leaned over and on the inside and made the turn instead of standing the bike up ?
