the big displacement tards definitely make better commuters, but it comes at the cost of not being as nimble as a converted tard. Three years on my street tard and I find myself wanting a lightweight converted tard more and more.

Still have stockers, Im going to keep the wr and just buy another bike

Nother bike = Probably a good idea. Tards are great for shorter distance commuting / slower speeds. 100 miles on my DRZ at 75MPH and I have a headache and sore . 300 miles in varied terrain (dirt, 55 mph highway, trails...) with motorcross pants / padded and it's about perfect.
