Talking Renting a Goldwing for 3 days in Palmsprings next week-need routes

So I am renting a Goldwing next week in Palmsprings, CA for 3 days. I need some possible areas to see (not in the city) me the the wife

My plan is:
Day 1 Pacific Coast hwy from LA to Santa Monica
Day 2 Somehow snake my way into the mountains from there and stay at my Uncles cabin in Big bear
Day 3 ride around Big Bear

What are some really nice places to see while in these areas, thanks in advance

uhhh Santa Monica IS pretty much LA...
Drop down on Back roads to Escondido, then do the coast up to Malibu
Pick one of those canyon roads back North to Mulholland, run back across to 10 and then Big Bear

Much better scenery farther North along the coast tho, towards Big Sur

Long Beach has the Queen Mary and the Spruce Goose if you want to tourist a bit

Uhh looks like they moved the Spruce Goose to the Evergreen Aviation Museum... along with an SR-71 and other way cool stuff

If nothing else do this ride, Angeles Crest Highway. Absolutely awesome, way high up there on my all time favorites list.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angeles_Crest_Highway

PCH up to Big Sur as you mentioned is a must do ride also, go up even a little further to Carmel. Time the return ride so you get some dusk/sunset coming back. Don't start on PCH south of Santa Monica unless you like stop and go traffic and city views.

HWY. 74 "the ortega HWY" http://www.theortegahighway.com/

Ride it from dana point all the way to palm desert. You will not regret it! Big bear is nice but really crowded in the weekends.

Give me a call if you need details.

The rain yesterday must have shocked his system into believing he deserves a vacation
