Cut OEM Fairings?

I am in the final planning stages of the Stage II turbo addition to the GSX-R1000.

For those who have the exhaust/wastegate coming through the R main fairing and the airfilter out of the L main fairing, did you just cut the OEM fairings?

I am considering purchase of a second set of mains to cut to keep the nice OEM fairings intact. What would you do?

Depending on how much cutting is involved. If alot, I would find a second set.

I have started looking for another set of mains for my bike. I have lots, just not in the right colors.

Color Rite paint.. if you are cutting on them anyway, just paint to match the factory....
