Routes for my Sunday rides.

Ok.. I have one good Sunday ride route (well good for me). I've made a Google map of it.. If interested, I'll send it to you.

Because of my crazy work schedule, I usually don't get out with the Sunday crews like I'd like. Or even this new noob run sounds interesting way to start learning/relearning the basics.

My route probably not the best of routes to some... Got some good turns and such.. So what I'm hoping for is that others have some good routes to share with me. Love to ride the curves.. I enjoy my route a lot though, just looking for variety. Being I don't know all the hwy names and back roads and what not, I'd really prefer it in Google map format or something to that nature. Makes it easier for me. Thanks in advance.

that's not all one route... just a collection of good roads

My usual "Sunday" routes end up around 260-350 miles... sometimes more depending how far out I felt like going...

Most of my local loops are just turn by turn notes.. it ends up with too many points for Google..

Holy Jim, that's an awesom map.
Just found a new route up to Navasota from Racer's Road.

What's that small road that connects 1488 to 331 just after the Stephen F Austin memorial? That's after the bridge and memorial right?

Take 331 north to Hempstead, to FM 1488 and FM 2979.
I'm salivating over here... LOL

Sweet.. Well, even though I've gotten comfortable in the saddle so to speak, I'm still fairly new to the sports bike world. So my routes...er.. route is still simple. Other than that I mostly just do daily driving type stuff.. Like ride to work, store, or just go waste gas going to places I only visit when I'm bored. lol

Yes, the little road just N of the bridge, but it's a bit confusing thru the little subdivision before 529.. I went exploring last time in and found a couple good ones to join back on 359 and a couple crappy ones..

Googlemaps is not cooperating at the moment.. when I get time I'll PM you some notes..

Helios. PM sent.

I can't take credit for that huge map I posted the link for... that was the "OG's" from MH who got together.. Zapata put it up originally.

It doesn't include more farther out around Livingston or Summerville

The big link I posted? No idea how they did that.. like I said that was posted by Zapata back in 07 I think?

Right now I use Googlemaps to plot and zoom in on new roads to verify they aren't dirt. I found a site that converts the Google route to .gpx files for Garmin and TomTom...

http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input?convert_output=gpx

It won't work with my Magellen so I have a Garmin on the way.... will advise once I play around with it...

Right now I make my notes and save in a word file... just print out the turn by turn notes with any comments and put on the tank bag. Use the Magellen for back up and wrong turns or unexpected dirt roads..

The local roads I am familiar with I just run from memory...
