Registration question?

Anyone know how to find out how much it will cost to transfer registration on a purchased vehicle before going to the clerks office?

I paid almost $100 per $1000 vehicle value. My 328ci was worth about 8k and I paid ~$760 and my FZ6 is valued at about $2500 and I paid ~$240 (just transfered the title yesterday).

according to the website the car I bought is valued at almost $3000 despite KBB value of $2300... makes you think Texas might be trying to get over on you

They used to do it on a flat rate based on vehicle weight or what you "Said" you paid, now they are basing it on blue book value so they can grab more money out of your hands. So what did you end up getting? Its gonna cost you between 200-300$

with the vin handy, google standard presumptive value. plug the vin in and the website will tell you the value of the car that you'll have to pay tax on.
