I don't think that coral blue wash will take the wax off. Aren't carwash soaps suppose to not do that?

feel the paint......f you run your hand over it...after a wash, and you still feel pits and roughness, thats when you should clay it.....your car is still new so you wont need to do that for a while.

...children...

meguairs is just ho-hum stuff. my suggestion is some Klasse all-in-one cleaner/sealant, with two coats of klasse sealant glaze, topped off with two coats of P21S concurs carnauba wax. Each application / coat spaced one week apart for full cure. do this every 6-12 months and you are good to go. Quick detailer is good for those in between washes though. For soap/detergent, i'm currently using the P21S shampoo, it's pretty good stuff.

if your paint needs more care than the AIO, then you can clay it to remove all the contaminants. Then finish with AIO and sealant / high quality wax.

for rubber / vinyl protectants...drop the armorall, and pick up some pinnacle or wolfgang protectant. much better, imo.

for leather, Leatherique is the bomb.

If you want to get some stuff in a hurry...Pro Am Parts and Accessories on Richmond carry a lot of good car care products on the shelf. Better stuff than any autozone or the like will have. You can save some money though by ordering online. www.autogeek.net has products for sale and some great advice if you're into taking care of your auto finish.

cheers.

car wash soaps are used to remove layers of dirt and other contaminents. although it wont take off all your wax it will remove some. every time ive used soap it takes off the quick detail spray or meguiars gold wax. i wipe off my car every week, sometimes twice a week, so i dont use soap to remove the dirt build up.
