HPD Cheif

in another interview , the City of Houston police Cheif sez "We don't ask about citizenship during a routine traffic stop, what if we found 5 out of 10 were illegal, I.N.S. doesnt have the facilities to take them off our hands"

here he goes again blaming the government and using them as a crutch explaining why HPD is not enforcing the laws that are in place.

I'm hoping they decide to change their policy and maybe our city / state can start setting a precedence of rounding up the illegal leeches in our society.

I hated him the moment I found out he was the dip$hit that came from Phoenix, AZ. In Phoenix he put up speed cameras, red light cameras, you name it. He is all about profit making for the city. As soon as he got here he wanted to put up these cameras. He said he was terrified to drive in Houston. Well welcome to Houston buddy is what I thought. If you don't like it you are more than welcome to go back home. Why is it when someone comes to our country, state, city or neighborhood, they want to change it right away cause it isn't to their liking? Why not just go the back to where you farking came from and leave us the alone. You live your way, we'll live ours. No wonder the rest of the world is so off at us for trying to force our ways on them. I would be too.

But on to the subject...the chief is a moron. He said if the goverment would do it's job of protecting the borders, we wouldn't be having this discussion...lol. Well, the last time I checked, the HPD wasn't owned by Walmart...HPD is a goverment enitiy. His logic is that they are not here to arrest people for federal law violations. I guess they should stop arresting drug trafficers and drug dealers per his logic as well.

And yes, that guy is a moron. I'm getting sick of a large group of our political and other authorities saying that they don't enforce immigration laws, or suggesting the infeasability thereof, because of a lack of funding or any other bullshyt excuse you may hear...It would be nice if these ****ers quit passing the responsibility on to others and did their dayum job. Dickheads probably never heard the phrase "The buck stops here"....:BangHead: aight, done being angry now....

Me, and most of my friends, are also terrified to drive/ride in houston at least 50% of the time.

it IS a pretty place to drive.

just enforcing a safe following distance and blinker useage would change that 90% for the better though.

Besides there are greater issues here too... I dont want some uninsured mexican guy tboning me in a fullsize chevy cause he was running from the police because he had nothing to lose...

Interesting issue, what would you have them do with all these illegals? Would you want your city taxes to be raised so a workforce and facility could be put in place for when they are rounded up? Not that I am against that at all... I have been in numerous car wrecks with no English speaking, no license, no insurance drivers. Just wondering how people think the issue should be resolved. I spoke with a Sheriff one morning after a little fender bender with one of the above mentioned type of drivers and he said he would take him down but they would let him off because he did have an ID from Elsalvador. Although, I have a case in December that the DA picked up on him... so, I guess we will see if he shows.

Not to revisit the Great Japanese Internment of the '40's, but I would very much like the Federal Government to, by whatever feasible means, remove those individuals from the country that are not here lawfully.

Houston is notorius for electing dumbasses from elsewhere to run our city.

Remember "Outta town" Lee Brown? Haven't heard from him lately have you?

He moved to Chicago last I heard.
