That's probably because everyone is waiting on them to fix the top end so it can keep up with the ninja 250.

Thanks. I think because there is no used market for it yet (cheaper) as it's the first model year. Who knows, maybe some are holding out as the ABS models have yet to arrive?

I will post some pics of the 250 and 1000 side by side in a week when I get home after they bathed and waxed for size comparison.

Very nice. I am glad to see that Honda came out with this. Please post up some more info as you get it broken in and if you do any mods.

Nah, I won't mess with it. She weighs 125ish. I bet she could get it up to 90+...will have to wait to get it home to her

Neither did I. The way I found out was by calling a Honda/Kawi/Yamaha dealership in Baton Rouge to inquire about their stock of Ninja 250s in black. They had a few in other colors and said that by the time more black Ninjas came in that they'd have 2-4 new CBR250s. I was shocked.

How much was it?
It looks a lot sportier than I thought it would...but not a fan of the exhaust.

Congrats on the bike

I'm really curious as to the mileage they get. The ninjas get low-mid 60s, I'd hope with the lack of power and only 1 cylinder, it'd get 90+. If so, I might pick up a used one in a couple years for a commuter bike.

Sticker is $3999 for the non-ABS version. There is dealer in Brookhaven, MS that is selling it for $3799 that I found on cycletrader....not worth the $200 savings for such a long haul. The good thing is that dealers aren't jacking them up like they did for all bikes in general during the high gas $$$ summer of 2008, particularly the Ninja 250s. Does that mean that Honda dealers are classier?

I will fill up today as I am curious what my first tank yields vs my wife's first tank when I get it home to her.
