Rider down: 290 at Tidwell

Just saw this on the news, no details other than someone died and the highway shut down.

Probably late for work, guys please let this be a lesson. NEVER let being late to get somewhere cause you to speed, better to get there late than not at all. R.I.P. To the rider and his family, and all involved.

RIDE SMART and you have a better chance of making it home alive. It is a shame that someone lost their life, but unfortunately that is the way life is. Not riding like you intend to make it home is betting against your own life.

I will bet with money, cars, girls...etc. But I will never bet life.

Thats the description of how the majority of riders were riding before they died lately. On the freeway, at least.

RIP to the rider.

excellent post, could have started rider bashin' but instead turned it to be used as a lesson. Good job, hopefully someone might be stirred by this tragic loss and remember they are not at the track.
Seems like a few a week this season
RIP rider

This. He had a helmet on, but it was useless at his impact speed. SUV that was struck had major damage.
