Cool 4-stroke to 2-stroke Conversion

Silly idea, I know. But I've always wanted to motard out a 2-stroker for street use and general hooliganism.

That being said, I don't think its possible to title and register a 2-stroke for the street.

You could find a license plated 4-stroke with a dead motor, sell off the good parts to fund a 2-stroke swap, and get to work!

Has it been done? Any make/models that would be better suited for this? Sure its crazy and not very practical, but it'd be cool!

There was a beast CR500 motor in a CRF150 frame for sale on Supermotojunkie a while back. I could see that being fun on the streets.

You ever see the dude in San Antonio (or somewhere around there) that did the single sided swing arm on his cr500?

Get insurance on it, then lights and a horn. Have it inspected and tell the dmv that there is some kind of mix up but this bike is street legal and here is the inspection and insurance. That's how I got plates for my Aprilia Ride Smart 125.

You really don't even have to lie to them, you just have to have a title, an inspection receipt and proof of financial responsibility. I looked into this a while back, even had a buddy who does vehicle inspections send me the page out of the book with everything you need to pass inspection.

So maybe this would be easier than I thought.
