Fallen Riders Memorial

so i see day to day different people posting up threads of fallen riders and i think it would be good and do them justice to set up some sort of fallen memorial page in moto houston. it is hard to keep up with the many that have went down and not gotten back up so i think it would keep riders informed and they would unfortunately be able to see who has fallen and if they were known by fellow riders. It would also be a place to keep their brothers names still alive and pay respects. I think it would also pay a close reminder of the dangers we face everytime we throw a leg over the bike and ride.Everyone would be able to update imeadiate info of a rider down and any additional info as to who they are. It may also serve as a place to inform us of our friends currrently holding on to life who need support and would lead us to help in any way possible. i think it would draw everyone closer and tighten the brotherhood so that we can all really look after each other. Please tell fellow members about my idea to see if we can get moto houston to do this for us if you think its a good idea. we could also try to organize benifits through this to help the families through the times. thanks for your time.

I agree with this. It would make the moto-related section less about who crashed where.

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I can't be the only one to think that it's kind of sad that we need a section or even a sticky just for rider down and/or RIP posts...

Not good guys.

The past few years we had a stickied thread of "rider downs"..

It is rather morbid but it did open eyes as to the shear volume of accidents.

It's too bad we can't get past the "fellow/brother" rider attitude and try to learn something from accidents. It's also too bad people continue to haul down the straights in populated areas and wreck.

RIP and you're in a better place now.

Bike(s):
- The bike I own
- All the bikes I used to own which I still list so everyone on the forums will know how cool I am

There needs to be a section just for this so I don't have to see a million RIP threads every morning. Don't mistake that for heartlessness, because most of these deaths are a direct result of the rider's actions. While they lose their own lives (which is extremely sad), they ruin others' lives in the process, whether through causing injuries, emotional distress, or even death in some cases. Why would you want to pay homage to that?

Additionally, if you aren't already aware of the dangers you face every time you hop on a motorcycle, you have no business being on one.

If this gets approved, at least make it to where it doesn't show up on homepage OR new posts.
