Way Out West - Steak Night at Creekmore's

I'm headed to steak night at creekmore's sports bar and grill out in Sealy... I think they fire up the grill around 7pm... get there by 6:30 to get in line... I think it's $15 for a porterhouse the size of a buick (20-24 oz) a baked potato that could pass for a football and fill your own salad bar... I think the longnecks are $2.75 domestic (they don't have much else... it is Sealy).

It's on Hwy 36 about 2 miles south of I-10 (about 1/2 mile past the turn off for Eagle Lake).

Plan ahead... they do it every Wednesday.

It's also why I never make it to the Wednesday night Katy M&G... I pick steak over chicken wings any day... LOL

Cheers,

If you're near Westheimer, they're having a big M&G at James Coney Island... I'm just not driving that far for a hot dog and a coke ... LOL

I go every Wednesday... when the closest town is Pattison, TX (I live out in the woods on Racer's Road) you look forward to things like "steak night"... My "big weekend plans" include going to the drive in... We went and saw Fast Five last weekend... it was pretty good.

I'll post it up on Tuesday and see if we get more takers next week... if we have a "regular group" I might talk Steve (the owner) into giving a drink special to keep us coming out... maybe $2 beers or something... he's pretty cool when he sees regular business coming his way.

Y'all have fun if you're headed to Westheimer (and keep your head on a swivel)...

Well if they know how to do a charred rare or (pittsburg style) than that will be even better.

That's how I order mine (rare) and the outside is usually charred (they call it "blackened" and use Montreal steak seasoning on them)...

I was wrong... beers are $2.25 not $2.75... and I talked to his head bartender and she said they might drop the beers to $1.75 if we get a big group coming in once a week (10 or more bikes). If nothing else, 2 beers and a steak dinner will run you $20. I ate half of my steak, a salad and half my potato and still have 2 days worth of food left in the fridge.

According to the girl (via text) the best part was watching me balance the go-box on my gauge cluster (I have a 1/4 fairing on my SV so it tucks right under that) while pulling a wheel on my way out of the lot one handed trying to hold my food ... None of it was intentional... I didn't see a car coming when I checked before I pulled out onto the shoulder and his was cruising right along on the shoulder with his lights off () so I gunned it and just managed to catch my food ... had to shift without the clutch... scared the outta myself with that move... anyway... made it home in one piece with my left overs and dog bones...

I'll probably be there next week... I'll post it up by Tuesday if I plan on going.

Cheers
J
