Battery/electrical problem :/?

Ok guys so i own a 2003 Honda CBR600rr and today on my way home from work i stopped to put gas at the nearby Chevron. I pumped the gas which took about 4min and as i turned the bike back on it would not start. It was obviously an electrical problem. It felt like the engine wanted to start but didnt have enough power. I tried about another four times and by the last time all i heard was a *click*. I then called my friend to come jump me with cables. It took him about 30min and when he finally came i tried to turn the bike on to show him what it was doing but this time the bike started perfectly. like there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I was so embarrassed because he came a long way. I drove it another 20min home and it ran fine. when i got home i shut it off. turned it back on to see if it would start and it wouldnt start AGAIN! it did the same thing...it felt as if it wanted to but couldnt. I waited another 20min and went to start it again and BAM! it starts perfectly...What in the world could be wrong with my bike? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!....oh and btw this battery is about a year old. Also the bike had not been written for a month straight but i been riding it for a week now and this problem has just started.

Battery is and the motor was heat soaked. Thats why it started when cool 30 min. later. Try a charger first.

I'm pretty sure thats the issue. Most electrical don't cure themselves after a 30 minute rest.

+1 on the battery probably being bad.
Also make sure your cables are tight and not corroded.
If you bring the battery by I'll test it, no charge.
