It's hard to have any sympathy for someone that can afford an expensive toy/hobby. Now quit , fix your bike, and learn how to ride it

There you go, more taxes! That's an original idea. Make sure you keep that a secret, wouldn't want the liberals to get ahold of that gem!

ok, I guess you don't know about Monaco. Didn't you just infer that the Founding Fathers were against taxes?

You can take your sympathy and shove it up your !

Your constant attempts to delude this to an emotional issue only demonstrates your inability to fully grasp the issue at hand. When people become complacent about defending their liberties, they lose them.

The issue is larger than just taxation, though it is a large part, I would never willingly live in any country that has a functioning monarchy, no matter what perks they may offer. When you dance with the devil......

Oh please. Your only concern is your wallet. I hope you're doing your part by investing in a retirement account so future tax payers don't have to support you in your old age.

Very true! And so explain what YOU have done today to defend your liberties? Aside from multiple threads trying to justify why you

a: don't need a license
b: didn't find anything beneficial in the MSF course and skipped the riding portion
c: demonstrated your abilities on a motorcycle by dumping it on a slow, controlled PARADE lap

Have you run for office? Written your representatives who you elect? You DO exercise your right to vote, correct?

Arguing on the internet is just...

Yes, my wallet is absolutey my main concern; it pays for the food I eat and the roof over my head.

And yes, my retirement fund is quite healthy.

If you can afford an expensive toy/hobby then you have no need to worry about money.

texlurch:
I have never said at any point that I don't think I need a license. I intentionally avoided that statement waiting for some 'tard with reading comprehension to infer that on their own.

I missed the riding portion of my MSF course because I overslept, not because I thought it wasn't important. I have every intention of retaking the course and getting legal as soon as it fits into my schedule.

Yes, my ability to navigate a track on a motorcycle need work. That's why I'm there: to learn.

Yes, I vote.

No, I'm not in the habit of writing my representatives, thought I probably should be.

Aren't you arguing on the Internet too?

There's a difference between worrying about money and sanctioning it's theft and subsequent waste.

I earn my money, all of it, it represents the value I create in my life. Thereby, it is a measure of my self worth by proxy. Any man who doesn't value his money either doesn't value himself or hasn't earned his money.

Theft? So you're willing to voluntarily send annual donations to The University of Texas at Austin?

How are you going to spend your big stack of money when you're dead?

Theft, yes, taxation is theft.

When I'm dead, I'm dead story's over.

The point is that I take full ownership and responsibility for my actions while I'm alive.

So are you going to voluntarily support my alma mater or not?

I've purchased a few books by Tara Smith (UT professor), but that's about as close as I would get. Not big on trading something for nothing.

Ah, so you don't believe in charitable contributions? That's ok, the TexasExes (of which I am a Life Member) is currently lobbying the legislature to really hit residents of Texas like you really hard

So now you're a fascist and conservative?!
You're no better than the liberals.

I'm not for or against charitable donations. I'm against people telling other people what to do with their money.

Well, people like us wouldn't have to tell people like you to do the right thing with your money if you actually did the right thing with your money. Now go buy another motorcycle because apparently the youth of Texas are in no need of quality public education
