Ever since GM came out with the PASS Key...

...I've wondered why other manufacturers didn't go to something like that. The PASS Key system isn't even all that large or heavy and could easily be adapted to the motorcycle environment. No batteries, a key that can be abused, and the key itself doesn't cost much more than a standard key.

My HD smart key costs $40, my inifiti is like 30 bucks.
But I'm the only one who wants to steal either of those, and all I have to do is ask for the keys...

too bad they dont do bait bikes here in Houston. We already know HPD cant stop real crime, or burglaries in process. So this would be something productive other than writting tickets even though it doesnt bring in revenue. I would be all for this sting.

Listen to the scanners. They stop them all the time.

if bikes use new technology to protect against theft, thieves will just find a way around it. i.e. david beckham has had bmw x5s stolen from him more than once. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...-minister.html

Just going off personal expierence on this one. Ive seen my neighbors house broken into. HPD shows up guys jump fence back door is still open. Do the 4-6 cop cars there even atempt to look for them? NO just kept telling me they probaly left the door open. and many other cool stories bro that start and end pretty much the same way.

So you base your statement on your neighbors house?
