Just signed up TWS (Texas World Speedway) 5/30.. Leather question

I just finished registering my father and I at the Ridesmart track day at TWS (Texas World Speedway) May 30. Its not coming soon enough! I cant wait to get back out there because the street just isn't doing it for me anymore. I want to buy some of my own leathers since I plan on doing track days often. I am just wanting to hear what some of you have to say about a 1 piece suit vs a 2 piece suit. For me it would be nice to be able to lose the jacket in between track sessions and the jacket could also be worn on the street without having to wear a full suit. But a 1 piece offers more protection during a slide, so I guess my question is would a 1 piece or 2 piece best suit my needs? I only want to buy once and I plan on doing a track day a month with a little bit of street riding in between.

2 pieces during a crash have led to severe belly road rash. The zipper can fail during a crash.

1 pc, some of tracks requires 1 pc leather when you move up in th class, so just get it over with it...instead of buying 2 pc then 1 pc in the futhure. unless you do not have a leather jacket for street. just my 2 cents

1 pc. Your idea of "losing the jacket between sessions" can still be accomplished. You just let the top half of the suit dangle behind you as you walk around. Everyone does this.

Two-piece jackets are shorter than regular street jackets. They look goofy sometimes if you try to wear them without the leather pants. +1 on the zipper, doesn't happen all that often, but it is just another place for it to fail.

Yea im familiar with letting the top half rest around your waist in between sessions, it would just be a little more convenient/cooler (temperature wise) to be able to take a jacket off. But for me I'll take safety over convenience and I've already got a jacket so im going to go ahead and get a 1 piece. Thanks for the input guys It's just a matter of finding the right one now.. If anyone has a 1 pc they want to sell I might be interested. I'm 5' 10" 140 lbs. Pretty open to colors just no red or green.. If all else fails I'll buy new

MSRH with Ride Smart on May 7th deal2

One piece for a peace of mind. If I was riding with a two piece on track, I'd be worrying about the zipper coming undone.

My first track day this season will be on the 30th at TWS (Texas World Speedway) as well. I agree...it can't get here soon enough!

Dunlop Q2's came in the mail today too.

1 piece is WAY more comfy in the track. 2 piece might come apart in a crash.
