JBeck01R6 went down

Jared went down earlier today, about 6:30ish, on Pearland Parkway. He's ok but went to the ER to get checked out anyway cause his shoulder was hurting. Bike wasn't banged up too bad. I'm sure he'll post pics later.

He's good. He called me to help him get his bike home after it happened. He was wearing his gear so it could have been worse. First thing I asked him when it happened was if he was ok and all he wanted to talk about was his bike. LOL. Luckily, his wife is an RN so they both agreed the ER was the best thing to do.

Speedy recovery to you.

Im literally right down the street and drove by right about that time. I didnt see anything, must have just missed it. What does he ride, I might have seen him before? Glad hes ok tho.....

Just curious....did he go down in that left hander where the road splits? That is one of my favorite turns around here and it can definately sneak up on you. I personally also like the right hander coming towards the beltway. Sucks either way......

He rides a black R6. Not sure exactly where he went down but it was somewhere at that turn around junction. I'll let him give the details as to what happened as I wasn't there.

Good for him for wearing gear. Maybe all the gear threads have paid off here. To all the non gear wearers. Pay attention here

Anyone wanna ride today?...lol Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, I love the support on MH. I guess everyone wants to know what happened....here we go!

I was heading home from the in-laws and i was coming up to the pearand pkwy turn about and i chose outside lane, wierd! I never ride outside lane. Going about 40MPH I preped for corner and the bike didn't feel planted, so I stood it up and straightend the corner. I jumped the curb and rode about 20 yrds or so, then ate ground! Bike sustained a destroyed frame slider in left side, and a brokes fairing stay. That's it! I hit the ground on top of left shoulder and hyperflexed muscles and fractured clavical. All is great, got good meds and I rode the bike about 4 or 5 miles home. Wife was following me home and DID NOT SEE ME GO DOWN! I am very thankfull for that. Seeing a rider go down will haunt you dreams, all she saw was me off in the field with the bike up and me giving her the thumbs up.

I am getting copies of x-rays and you bet I'll post em. Guys!, BECAUSE I WAS WEARING ALL MY GEAR, I WALKED INTO THE ER AND WALKED OUT AGAIN!!!

I applaude all riders that wear their gear, even when it's hot and uncomfortable, because it allows us to take the hits and keep riding!!

Wife saw me go down at TWS (Texas World Speedway) coming out of turn 2 at about 90. FREAKED her out, she almost had a panic attack. Thought I was dead.

Glad you and your bike are OK. Nothing sucks like going down waiting to recover and then having to deal with a up bike.
