I may come out this upcoming week, depending on the weather. sprocket and jets are on, just waiting for my pipe on monday. Also...this is a copy.paste from the three palms website. basically for 60 bucks you can ride enough friday night, all day sat till mid, and all day sunday, that you will sleep for a week straight. Dunno if anyone would be interested in planning an "event". I'm pretty sure on a non muddy weekend, streetish tires would be ok. Im going to have my knobbies on tho...

We are going to start opening our business to Dual Sport bikes, Utility ATV's, Sport ATV's, and side by sides beginning Friday nights starting October 14th, from 5pm to midnight. Also Saturday from 9am to midnight, and Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Here is how it will work:

Three Palms "Adventure Night and Day Rides"

If you own a dual sport bike, an ATV (utility or sport), or a side by side like a Rhino or Razor, we have a cool place for you to ride. Three Palms has set aside 160 acres of track and trail for you, your friends, and your family to come enjoy. The park will be open from Friday to Sunday just for you so come out and join in on the fun. Kids 5 and under are free.

Fees listed are ONLY for the Adventure Night and Day Ride... Moto fees remain the same.

Daily Fees:

$18 per rider, daily membership included!

$2 per spectator so be sure to bring a friend.

$4 per passenger (must sign membership form)

$10 camping fee per vehicle (dry camping only)

Weekend Specials (Friday thru Sunday):

$40 per rider, daily membership included!

$4 per spectator so be sure to bring a friend.

$8 per passenger (must sign membership form)

$20 camping fee per vehicle (dry camping only)

(CC fees apply)

*Note, You are not allowed on any of the Motocross Tracks with the exception of the Woods Track and trails. Every rider/passenger MUST wear a Snell/DOT approved helmet. No drinking allowed if you are operating a motorized vehicle. If spectators or passengers decide to drive, you must sign in BEFORE you drive.

All drivers, riders, passengers must wear your wrist bands on your wrist during your visit. All vehicles must have a working light to ride after dark. No riding allowed after midnight. No kids allowed on ATV's, UTV's per factory recommendation. No riding or driving in the river or lakes.

yeah totally agree. braking is rather hairy too on street tires on anything BUT pavement. Iv'e been in the bushes a few times hittin some trails near my house lol. I think i am going to go with the pirelli mt21, running a 120/90-17 front and a 130/90-17 rear. It will prolly handle funny with 2 rear tires but no worse than a tw200. i think its gonna run me about 150 bucks front and rear...

It was this cold last week. Wasn't too bad if you bundle up. I was actually getting hot. Insulated thermals under jeans with glove liners and a neck warmer and you can't even feel the cold air.

yup, slid right through the westheimer, beltway intersection. Tires are someone's track takeoff, so they had that tire booger all over the edge of the tire, which has been there forever so as you can probably imagine it was rock hard. Well I cut into the turn pretty hard and as soon as that stuff touched the front end just let go. Irony is I have a set of pilot powers on the UPS truck getting delivered today... derrrp..

I'm fine, neck doesn't really even hurt anymore. I was wearing a cold weather one piece which is now pretty torn up, Picked up some vinyl tent repair kits though, gonna patch that chit up

As far as the bike, the brake lever snapped off, but I stopped by cycle queer and picked up a cheapo replacement.

I don't like to drink and drive, so I am foregoing the driving part. Kill a rabbit for me, the little bastards are asking for it. Headed to the tax assessors office to get some real plates for the scooter. I'm tired of people asking me if I just learned to ride.
