I know guys that ride Harleys and have a family and kids and STILL dont wear a helmet cause it simply is not cool. So incredibly idiotic.

If you have children, wear a helmet.

If you have family that loves you, wear a helmet

If it is going to put loved ones through pain and misery if you die or get seriously injured, wear a helmet.

I mean, why put people you love through this ??

Fuckit, cool will always supersede common sense and safety to a lot of people out there.
This is perfect. Blunt and to the point. Very sorry the rider is gone, but to not take the very basic step of wearing a helmet or additional gear is unacceptable.

Sorry for all the his fam and friends are going through.

He caused his own death...but that doesn't mean I am heartless.
My condoleces to his family and friends.

MH is full of all the time. Anti this or anti that. Bandwagon status is the rule here, they say because it is politically correct it doesn't mean that it is the "right" thing to do (note that they do not seem to use proper words like correct). So just like those other threads where people are allowed to speak their minds (sometimes within reason, most time not IMO), they should do so in this one. It is the way of this forum, if you don't like it leave. Even the owner of MH saids the same, if you don't like it leave. Never return, no one will give a , guaranteed.

Nice thoughts..

I don't see anyone wishing death on others

But, if you choose to ride a bike without the very minimum of a helmet, then I have no sympathy. Obviously you care not for yourself, or your loved ones, to not at least consider "what if" before you jump on the bike.

All the gear in the world won't guarantee your life... my friend Pigpen is a perfect example. The best gear he could afford including a ballistic vest under his leathers, and he is gone. Not a mark on him.

But your odds of survival multiply for every piece of protective gear you wear. And this is a very dangerous hobby I think everyone of us will agree, so how can you possible NOT do whatever you can to make sure you get home from the next ride?

You don't deserve to ride a motorcycle for saying this...
No matter what the argument, how can you wish DEATH upon a fellow rider?
GTFO of here with that...

I didn't read the whole thread and I'm not going to, but I will say that more often than not, members here don't actually want people to die. However, there are many that will feel no sorrow or empathy for those that refuse to protect themselves and pretty much have it coming. Yes, there is a difference.

Most people in MH morals:

If you crash and ANY of the following applies to you - no gear, no helmet, no license, rode a cruiser/harley = you're an idiot, you deserved to die.

But going on routes/rides, at triple digit speeds, endangering innocent drivers and families on the road, running from the cops and you made it ok to PP1/rendezvous point, you're the best thing since sliced bread. Its ok, cause even when you die splatered by a Semi, or hitting the pavement or outriding yourself you were awesome with all your power ranger gear on. (Oh, and this will always be 99.9 percent a cager's fault).

Hipocrisy???? You bet.
