All I can think of when I see those is what happens when you lay it down with those cylinders sticking out like that.

Factory built in sliders...? Until it wears through.. I wonder if they add extra metal to the casing just for that purpose..

Probably not much. Based on the number of GS's that have been down on round the world trecks I would say the cases are pretty stout. I even remember a couple on an old 1150GS got broadsided by a truck in India and their panier case and engine kept their legs from being crushed. They repaired the bike and are now putting down the east side of Africa.

The heads do have a replaceable wear plate that looks like it could slide for quite a ways before wearing through. Still those big jugs would be the limiting factor for lean angle.

To me it is crazy expensive. I would just get two RRs and call it a day.
