trying to put a toggle switch on my bike

i have a 2006 zx6r 636 im trying to put a toggle switch on the ignition but i dont no what wires to tap in to does any one how to do it

Why are you doing this?
A wiring diagram - Schematic would help.

If its just to have a hidden switch in the ignition circuit, like theft deterent you can tap into the kill switch line either one.
One on the bar and one on the kick stand take your pick. Basically your just adding a second kill switch, both will need closed to start the bike.

You only need two wires. One will be a hot and and the other will be hot when you turn the ignition on... Then you need to ground the switch if it has a light... My advice is to get a volt meter.. But the r6 is I think the red wire. Now sure about your bike

Easiest one to tap into will be for the kickstand switch.
It'll still start but the minute they put it in gear it will kill.
You'll have a better shot at catching them because they'll try to start it and ride off several times before they give up.
