I rode with my dad as a kid through the neighborhood and stuff, def one of the reasons I ride today. I also believe for some reason this may have helped me take to bikes so easily. Not to mention my dad hooked up a weedeater motor to my huffy bike as a kid oh man my mom was I was maybe 6 or 7. Riding is in my blood for sure though

I personally saw a guy in Tyler on a cruiser with BOTH his wife and kid (kid probably less than two years old). No gear for anyone btw. I can't even imagine what made that seem like a good idea

my wife and I discussed this when I started riding again(abot 7 or 8 years ago). We have 2 children, they were 6 and 4 at the time so it was a concern because we knew they would ask. We decided on 13 that they could ride with me. My son started asking way before that and we did have to put it off, I would not let him ride without a proper fitting helmet and didn't ride enough to spend the $$ on one just for him. He finally got to go for a ride about a month ago, at 14. We have helmets that fit and my truck was in the shop so my buke was the only way to go. he has ridden a couple of times since then, all pretty calm and loves it. So I guess all I can add to this is to discuss it and come to an agreement, then stick to it.

I used to have a neighbor that got a GSXR 600 for his first bike and he would ride his 3 yr old up and down the street in shorts and a shirt sitting in front of him, not a good thing in my mind.

My little girl runs into the garage when she hears me start up the bike wanting to go! LOL She has always ridden in front of me but this is on a harley.

When I got my chopper I asked her if she wanted to go with me to pick up my new bike and she gladly agreed. Got her lid on she climbed on in front legs on the tank as always and away we went. (Just 2 blocks away) Get the new bike out of my buddies shop and she comes over to climb on. I asked her to wait till I turned it around and started it. LOL Start it up look over and she is holding her ears shaking her head no. Bwahaha... Needless to say she has never rode on the chopper and doesnt like it.

If you have a lid for her take her around the block I am sure she will love it.
