THIS JUST IN!!! Tookie's is coming back!!!

If you lived in Houston for a while and ever went to Tookie's just north of the Kemah bridge....you would know it had the BEST BURGERS! Unfortunately, it was flooded and damaged during Hurricane Ike and has been vacant since...

Just got word that the rights/recipes/land and building are being purchased today and they will begin work to restore Tookie's to its old glory!!!

So Excited! Just thought I would share the awesome news

SOMEONE PLEASE MOVE TO OFF TOPIC! I DIDN'T MEAN TO POST IN EVENTS!

That's in my backyard, good to hear it's gonna make a comeback as we have no GOOD burgers nearby.

Head south on HWY 146, pass Kemah.... its in between Hwy 96 and FM 646! There are a couple of old cooks there, but I think they are still working some kinks out.

Word is (from some of the old employees) that it will be some of the original gang involved and that the "new" Tookies will be much improved. So I would expect it to return with all of it's original glory!

Growing up in Seabrook, I was very sad when I heard it would not be rebuilt after Ike. This is good news!!
