I often wonder how would this guys stand against MotoGP riders. I know they are two different animals, but it would be fun to watch for sure.

Me too, but from what I hear none of the MotoGP guys will go near a race as dangerous as the Isle of Man, and I'm not aware of any TT riders that have made it up to MotoGP...

didn't Rossi say the TT guys are nuts, and that he's not crazy enough to do it?

John McGuinness who is arguably one of the IOM greats has regularly run in British Supersport 600, Superstock 1000 and taken a turn on a full blown superbike for at least one season.
At his best he would rostrum occasionally in the 600 class but was very much mid pack on a superbike! And that was on very very good bikes as written in to his TT contract.
On the IOM he would trounce the current MotoGP guys, it's a totally different discipline where track knowledge gained over 3 years plus plays a large part in success.
If however, the IOM became part of the World Championship as it once was then expect the MotoGP guys to once again dominate as Agostini, Hailwood etc did in their day

but ask McGuiness, Hutchy, Martin what they think of rossi, they've seen his times around Donnington Park which they too visit

McGuinness is my favorite too. I was really hoping for a good show from him in the 2010 TT but I guess the bike just wouldn't run. We'll see what 2011 has for him as he's a SCREAMER.

I'd say watch out for Conner Cumings too!

More or less.

Though, Cameron from the TAS Relentless crew did get to take a GSV-R around the TT course. I think it was Caporosi's.
