Rio

I was at Rio the day it opened and i know the place pretty well. In the south west corner of the property there is a concrete spillway that can be crossed over so as to gain access to the multitude of trails. These are mostly four wheeler trails, wide and rutted the last time i rode them. Use your computer to get a birds eye view of the area. IT IS HUGE! I do not know who this property belongs to and assume it's not legal to ride there. But the last time i was there it was evident that a whole lot of people have been riding there due to the multitude of trails.

Looks like fun.

Anyone riding any trails this weekend? Feel in the mood to get out for a solid day or trail riding although something different to SHNF would be good. Friend has a 4 wheeler so we were trying to find something friendly to both.... don't mind driving out of town to overnight if needed.

no dice for me this weekend, once again have a fence build standing in my way. I may leave town Sunday morning around 4:30 am to make the race at Shiloh Ridge though....we'll see if I can get all my maint. done beforehand (waiting on a new clutch cable and rear tire still needs to be installed).

Next Thursday for the Rio Bravo meet?

if you don't mind the drive, you could head up to Shiloh Ridge this weekend. Texas Xtreme is holding a hare scramble there....$50 gets you practice from 1-dark on Saturday and then a practice lap and race on Sunday. Might be subject to camping fees and plenty of area outside the race course for 4 wheelin'.

anyone want to give me an opinion on a mod... been living it seems on TT lately and did a bunch of mods to the airbox and rejetted. Been reading about to squeeze out some more zoom to help the exhaust breath better. Been seeing most guys get the 250R CRF exhaust and drop it on the 250X however it doesn't have a stock spark arrestor. So they install a PMB end cap.

found a 250R exhaust... $75 for the whole deal, used in mint shape for header back. Here's the kicker...the tiny end cap is $135 WTF!

also came across this,
http://www.2rracing.com/image.aspx?s...temID=10440651
to mount on the stock 250X exhaust but can't see how it would make it breath better.... its still restricted by the inner diameter of the tube.

Thoughts?

For just about that much money you could get a good Leo Vince slip on that comes with a spark arrestor.

Also get Chad to do the airbox mod and re-jet. It'll be a whole new bike. He did it on my son's 250x and it starts and runs better.
