. This is my greatest fear. That's why I'm always checking my mirrors and flashing my break lights at people behind me.

ABS sure wouldn't have hurt but having an escape route in mind would've been better. This is a good example of why wearing gear is always the smart approach.
Sad thing is he had time to lock the back up twice, putting out "smoke" signals, but the fool behind didn't have a clue. Wonder if they were texting or on the phone?

if he would have swerved out of the lane, that would have been the best. pass the cars on the side.

at least thats what I do/did

clearly the rider could've done more to avoid this

People that drive with no insurance really suck bad. They need way more serious consequences for that . So now the poor on bike has to pay for everything. Medical, his bills and bike replacement if he doesn't have uninsured motorist he screwed. uninsured drivers. They all suck . Son of a needs to go to jail for a couple years.

lane splitting and watching the mirrors would have helped....i like to ride to one of the sides of the lane..not in the center...sucks for the rider.

You mean like that time you blew past everyone on the cloverleafs and almost went straight out into traffic?
