Monday morning RIP on Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON -- A man died after crashing his motorcycle in southeast Houston early Monday, according to Houston police.
Police said an HPD unit witnessed the motorcyclist speeding over 100 mph on the Gulf Freeway when he crashed into some barrels at the 610 exit ramp around 12:15 a.m.
The motorcycle bounced off the barrels, went across the freeway, hit the metal guard rail and landed on the other side of the freeway, according to HPD.
Police said the rider was wearing a helmet, but his injuries were too severe. He died shortly after being transported to the hospital.
The freeway was closed several hours until crews cleared the scene.

RIP, whats with so many people like to do triple digits down the freeway. I mean i understand the adrenaline rush and ease of doing high speeds, but nothing productive comes from it. You zoom past cars, increase your risk for an accident and a car not seeing you, and let alone felony speeding violation. It's just sad. One of my childhood friends is still in a coma (11 months now) because he thought it was so cool to go 140 down 290 then he lost control when a truck changed 2 lanes. Triple digit speeding on a public Highway isn't cool! If anything you look more like a tool to me.

Slow it down guys, for your own sake!

Another RIP sad.....

RIP

when he crashed into some barrels at the 610
I wonder if this means he was trying to take the loop turn at 100 mph. Or he just happen to be at that spot on 45.
