I'm moving to San Antonio in August, and I'm counting the days 'till good roads are closer than an hour from me.

Once I'm up there I'll try and hook up with people in the hillcountry area.

Also, nice video

The 650 is a bike I've been looking at, how does it hold up to riding the out of it? Any maintenance problems or little annoyances?

I can say that I haven't had any "major" issues with the 650R. I don't ride the out of it a lot. I have worked it over pretty hard on some rides but again with no issues. Keep up on the maintenance and the bike will last a while. Another person to get more information about the 650R is DaveC.

Sometimes I forget that not all bikes bounce off the top gear redline at freeway speeds

Not bad but it would get pretty boring after a while. Plus the local LEO's would be rapin you when possible.
