Trooper and M3&CLKR1 - Again thanks for posting up the status of Karthick. Glad to hear that the surgery went really well. I'm going to try and give him a call sometime soon.

Maybe time to have a group riding class? Not that its anyone's fault, but Curt's right and I've been saying this for awhile too. These rides are lacking structure, and I think would help prevent some or most accidents.
Or... we can bring the "track" to them...
you know what they say, if you can't go to the party then bring the party to you...

we had one guy that went down doing 30mph one Sunday... we picked his bike up and went home... speed and track has nothing to do with this, so we dont need to argue or be the smart about track riding.. we dont need that here! there has been a lot of threads about track vs street and we know how it goes.. street riders will vote for street and track riders will vote for track! BUT its what we learn and practice that help us become better riders... the only way we're going to keep our shinny parts off the ground is by helping each other out!

I'm deleting posts in this thread because you guys start a retarded street vs track thread every single time.

This thread is about a rider down. It has his name, location, person to contact, visiting hours and updates to how he's doing.

We're not gonna have his family come in here and see a 10 page thread bashing noob riders or this rider because of an error in judgement that is now costing him dearly.

This guy has no family here in Houston, except for some family that might have flown in.
Please help, visit, offer your services, condolences or GTFO.

If you still have to whine, PM me.

Was anyone able to make it out there today to visit him?
I wanted to go but had a long day yesterday and worked all night.

Keep updating us on how he's doing.

Ouch, gives me goose bumps thinking about it.

I think seasoned riders spread evenly through the group would help but it cannot stop accidents. This one happened just as the ride started so that wouldn't have helped. It's easy to spot those who have a bigger risk of going down. Pacing those riders would probably be best and try to set their corner entry. But then again it's up to them to ride their ride.

Wednesday sounds like a good day, that'll actually be my first day off work and hopefully by then they'll have him more stabalized and maybe not as drugged up.

So what constitutes a care package? I'd like to bring him something on Wednesday.
He's got a long road ahead of him.

I'm out of town for work through Friday night. I was there with him and Thomas until they loaded him and would really like to pay a visit. For those of you who get to make it out there this week, please give him my best wishes and let him know that I'm out of town currently or I'd be there in person. - I'm Chad, the guy with the yellow 996. He'll know.
