I've done that, you get addicted. On the other hand, I didn't get the bike to just do track, so I still do a little street...but not a lot like when I started

Yup, just petitioned the facilities manager for MC-only parking in the lot, and within a week we had stripes painted on the concrete! Waiting for a clear day to get all the riders here in the office to ride in and take a pic.

Not me!! I have ridden everyday that the weather has allowed!! I love being on the bike, I don't care if it is just back and forth to work or to run errands! Any seat time I get is great!! I am really looking forward to getting back on the track, but I don't ever see me not riding on the street!

Years ago when I first started racing I still rode the street. (back then we didn't have "track days")
as I got more into racing I started riding less and less on the street, eventually street riding very rarely for a few years.
After awhile, I got back to street riding, albeit at a more "relaxed" pace.
Although I have to keep myself in check at times.

In the past 2 years, the only time I ride the street is down the interstate a couple of miles and back to heat up my oil to change it. I also get to bust out a few wheelies while i'm at it since they kind of condone them at the track.

I kind of wierd on this cause to be honest If i'm jsut riding on the street i'm not having fun. i don't ride cause i like riding (if that makes sense) most people ride cause they like to ride and cruise wind in their hair and all that. But unless i'm on a track i'm not having fun on a bike. to be honest any other type of riding is boring to me. waiting at lights riding behind cars riding in front of cars getting off the bike sitting their eating a burger while looking at it just bores me is all. if i do street ride i'm just like the other guy said heating up the oil to change it or check to make sure if it's running right because a track day is the next day.

I can understand that but, I couldn't stand having my bike just sitting there waiting for a track day. I could never be one of those people with a mint 60's muscle car covered up in the garage and only coming out for shows

You guys that ride the street are not having fun because you are not trying.

Next time ride a highspeed wheelie next to a LEO and let the fun begin.

you mean like having a mint muscle car and only bring it out for drag races. Like i said riding the streets is for people that enjoy riding and to be honest going fast (or trying to go fast) is what i enjoy not the act of actually riding. exact same reason i'm thinking of trading my gt in for a volkwagon tdi because to be honest i want to drive fast I don't enjoy cruising in my car or cruising on a bike it does nothing for me.

I really don't like riding my gixxer on the street anymore either. The cops for some reason just don't seem to like me and I feel they are all out to get me. That is why I have a chopper too. The chopper still lets me ride with a more relaxed pace. I mean sportbikes just weren't made to go the speed limit. And I can't force my bike to be a wussy on the street. :laughing6
