i think he was just asking, why do you guys feel the need to call people out that don't wear full gear. Some people think wearing full body suits to ride a bike is stupid, and they feel you look like a scuba steve. I wear shorts sometimes, as a matter of fact i worse jacket, helmet, shorts just yesterday. and if you guys think that, then you must think ALL harley riders here are squids too, there are LOTS of cruiser riders here, that i KNOW don't wear a full face helmet, jacket, gloves, OR boots. it's just because of the kind of bike we ride, people have to have a name for it. it's silly, at best.

I agree, that's why I wear a 1 piece leather suit, plus I first take a poll to make sure I look cool. I want to look good when I pose because that's what it's all about

Here's the test about whether or not you should wear gear. Walk out in the street, run as fast as you can and dive onto the ground.
If that sounds like a bad idea, you should be wearing gear cause you'll be moving a lot faster when you get on the bike.
First time hearing that. Ill use that. It good to think about these things when you are thinking about not wearing your gear because it will take longer to put your gear on than it will to get to your destination.

well, someone saying you look stupid because you wear that is just as bad as you saying someone looks stupid for NOT wearing it. it's all opinions really. so what's the point in having this loooong thread about NOT wearing gear, if you don't want to, don't. if you do, then do it. it's just like those bible people thta try to make everyone find , if they don't want to they are NOT going to, so why do you guys keep trying to tell people to wear gear, if they DON'T want to they WONT. your using good server space, and putting wear on your keyboard for no reason )

It's not about looks at all. It's about keeping your skin. Guess it's a dumb idea to air PSAs about drunk driving, seat belts,...etc.

no it's not opinion...it's fact!.. Less protection more injury...

We are trying to give advise over and over, hopefully it will get through their heads...I know it got through to mine.

And if I'm not mistaken the OP (who still has not responded) attempted to talk us into thinking it was a bad idea to wear gear, simply because it's hot. That is pretty dumb.

Road rash on salt flats. That would take Suck to new dimensions.
