Stock gearing on the '07/'08 GSXR 1000 is 17/43, so -2/+13 as mentioned prior would be 15/56.

If you are at 14/54, then you are actually -3/+11, which is till WOW!

That is a small gear in the front....

I run a one-tooth rear. It's clunky.

Usually -1 up front is generally the best all around combo for most street bikes.... Better acceleration and still decent top speed without TOO MUCH increase in freeway RPMs...

Go back to the stock rear sprocket and put a -1 front on. You will also need a Speedo Healer to recalibrate your speedometer and keep from racking up too many fake miles on your odometer...

Ofcourse a 600 will be quicker with -1+2 gearing but you may not like the RPMs on the highway and your top speed will only be around 140mph at best....

hmmm, well i'll run with the -2 for a while, till i need to change tires etc, maybe a +2 in rear, since i dont want to mess with the front if i have to do the speedochange. i read you had to do that and that sounds like a pain in the

I'm -1 +4 on a 1000 and just got a -2 front going on soon. But I dont do a whole lot of street miles, -1 +1 was great for the street. All depends on how and what type of riding you do.

I'm going down one front and rear. Sounds weird but I've heard that's what works for the 09 R1. So it will be a 16/46.
