What a great setup Colin has there!! I was there for the mock training class a few weeks before the actual classes started.....Freddie Spencer showed up and spent the afternoon with us....here are a few pics of Freddie and Colin with the '76 Yamaha XS650 flat tracker we brought along to play on the 1/8 mile clay flattrack. Was a blast!!

Has anyone done the 1-day newbie class?

My GF wants to learn to ride, and we both figure a dirt bike is the best and safest way to do it. She understands the principle of clutches and shifting, but I don't have a bike small enough to teach her on.

I'm also looking into doing the 2-day camp, myself!

Stang Man: Learning to ride on a TTR 125 is cake out there. Good folks teachng.

Flying Duc: I hear ya, and 5-year old Hayes Edwards does do some low 1:52s in Superpole on his PW50. But just wait until your adrenalin kicks in.

How many of these threads are we going to get before Texas Tornado Boot Camp is a paying sponsor?

We?

I dunno. Maybe one per month? I'm just posting pix from the weekend, you know, like I do after a race weekend (and the CMRA isn't a sponsor here, either, by the way) or various track days, not all of which are sponsors. I'm not actively promoting anything, well, beyond what anyone is promoting when they post anything about anything.

"We" being Motohouston.

Look, I mean no disrespect. You are obviously very well known and involved in the race community and enjoy sharing the pictures you take. However, this is a school that charges. If any other member posted weekly pictures from a school that was not a sponsor that ship wouldnt sail. Do you not believe that the pictures you post are adverstisements?
Look at how cool this school is! Come hang out with a celebrity!

it my be a school that you have to pay to go to but its not like its competing with ANY other sponsers since we have no sponsors that offer anything like what colins boot camp offers.

I get that, and perhaps my posts came across with the wrong tone. I appreciate the pics Linz posts, he is talented and has awesome subject matter.
True, there is no competition for something like that. Wish I had the cash to go.
