Gsxr600 horrible first bike, stick with the 250 or ninja 500! Also the ninja 650r and suzuki sv650 are good starter bikes if your looking 600cc bike. And insurance won't hurt your pocket as much lol

Thanks for the info! I might stick with the 250 but I'll take a look at the others as well.

exactly. plan on being the center of attention at a few meets until some people get to know you. lots of guys will hit on you but stand your ground and before you know it, you'll be fitting right in. hope you get a bike soon, congrats on passing the class

Welcome!

Congrats on your MSF.

The EX250 is an excellent choice and allows you to master your skills before adding horsepower into the mix. 600 and up super sport bikes are not recommended for people with little or no experience, even though some people successfully start out on them. Once you don't have to think about the mechanics of riding, once they are second nature, that's the time to think about moving up on the food chain. That is the recipe to a long and healthy riding career.

Keep the dirty side down!

If she did that definitely sucks...maybe I'll stick with a 250.

Again, Thanks for all the welcomes/advice! Hopefully I start riding soon so I can meet some of you.

Hello and welcome!!

As much as I love Suzuki's, I too would say stay with the 250 for your first bike.
