I like Yoshi so I would say trade and pocket the 150.
Why does he want the stock pipe?

Yeap jet you got it. I',m thinking more like 100 or just a straight trade as my exhaust doesn;t have a scratch but then again that's just me

He's probably putting the stocker back on to sell his bike...since mods don't bring much extra.

I have a Yosh stainless and am very happy with it. I paid 280 new for mine on Ebay (zx-12).

So why would he not just sell w/ the Yosh if he's not asking for any Extra for the trade?

Martin,
One thing to keep in mind with the FZ1 is you'll need to rejet, even with "just a slip on".
The carbs are pretty lean on the low and midrange circuits from the factory. You may want to factor that into your decision proces.

I'm guessing he want's a stock pipe and $150 cash in exchange for the Ti Yosh Slip-on? If so it's a good deal. Stock cans aren't worth . If you end up needing one when it comes time to sell your bike, you'll be able to get one for $25-50 max off of a chatboard.

As other's have said he is probably selling the bike. It's typically easier to sell a bike in "stock" form and part out accessories. You will recoup more of your investment that way.

True Patrick I hadn't realy consiered that part of the process which would probably add another $400 but would shouldn;t it really bring the the Fizzy to life as well? Or stick to the orginal plan and just sell her and get a more track oriented machine?

If you're looking on spending more time at the track then I think plan B.

The FZ is a great bike, but without some serious suspnsion work it's not the most track worthy. Even with the suspension redone it's still fairly heavy for true track use.
