Actually the purpose of the fat was airflow off the rider and aero... same as a Busa.

Current plan for final paint, but with a darker shade of red, and pinstripes are supposed to be gold)

Looks like the frames on those are much more narrow then a GSXR of the same year(Like mine) Now that I think about it, the last I rode felt quite 'skinny'

Anybody know Shay donato from Baytown? He had a pretty sweet TLR back in 2000 - first one I ever saw and it was a nice bike.

Continuing on the project.. had Patrick order a 2 into 1 M4 for a SV1000.. they are "sister" bikes but not the same.

Had to do some cutting and pasting to make it work, but I like it.. 8 lbs lighter than the stock system with Jardine cans. Wet weight with a full tank is now 431 lbs...

Is this for real? 2011 TL1000R
Is this for real? 2011 TL1000R

Before, Jardine cans shortened to 15"

After, M4 2 into 1

Did the +mod, SV1K coils, airbox opened, ATRE, +4 on rear, R6 throttle...
Busa front end, Bitubo shock, swingarm eccentrics.. ready to rock!

Guess I need to research the "brown wire mod"

nice ! The brown wire mod is literally disconnecting the brown wire from your ecm , your rev limiter will be a hard limit 500 rpm higher. Really nice with my gearing between 6 and 7 at TWS (Texas World Speedway). My best on Tweety is a 1:56 or so , but generally run 2:0x before the rust gets knocked off lol Got the Bitubo, stock forks and EBC HH's have served me well, Andy Marcer and i set up the bike , really haven"t changed much . Dyno'd 123 and 73 about 5 years ago

the gixxer tailsection makes that bike look a lot better.

im jelly..... not enough funds or time to mess with mine. one of these days i'll do her right though. hey do u have a problem with hard starting? ie: takes a bit to get it going? bout 15 or so seconds (sometimes more, sometimes less) of cranking before it runs (cold start)? i blame it on the forged pistons and its expanding/contracting characteristics, but sometimes i have doubts.

+mod, SV coils and the Shorai seemed to help it crank better.. still a big twin tho.. I also have a switch to turn the headlights off so they don't sap power while cranking.

Headlights are HID projectors with evil eyes.. used a standard headlight cover for a new lens.
