Tragic, but if its your time, is it really so bad to go doing what you love?
Story from another forum:confused1

I live near Willow Springs Raceway; and on Sunday a fellow rider passed on to the big track in the sky.

RIP brother cheers this beer is for you.

Below is from the local paper

A La Puente motorcycle racer was killed in a crash on the final turn of the final lap of the Roadracing World 250/50 on Sunday at Willow Springs International Raceway.
Jesus Amezecua, 39, collided with two other motorcycles entering Turn 9 as the 40-rider field headed for the main straight and the checkered flag.
He was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
Delays informing next of kin prevented a formal announcement from the raceway.
Roadracing World Magazine, the sponsor of the event, which was part of the fifth annual Toyota 200 weekend, posted the news of Amezcua's death on its Web site Monday.
Turns 8 and 9 of the famed 2.6-mile Willow Springs road course generate some of the fastest corner speeds in motorcycle road racing.
Riders have reported speeds of 140 mph in Turn 8 and 120 mph in Turn 9.
Yamaha star Rich Oliver won the race and its first prize of $3,500.
Amezcua was a member of the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club.
The La Puente rider had been ranked second in the WSMC 250cc Grand Prix Championship point standings. Willow Springs officials declined comment. Funeral arrangements were pending Monday afternoon.
"I get a total charge out of inspiring others to follow their dreams and not to fear change. Embrace it. Realize that money isn't the end-all, be-all. What is important, what really has value, is Time. As motorcyclists, we all face increased risks on the road, and on the track. Do something with your time; don't have a bag full of regrets when the train comes to a stop. "
