A certain bike shop

I was looking around the Houston area for a new '05 busa last year and they were readily available at just about every Suzuki dealer. I, however, wanted the blk/silver bike and couldn't find one anywhere. I called around and a salesman at St**bbs SW told me that they could have that (or any other) color for me the next day-all I had to do was bring him a $1000 deposit. I was wary-as I had been told that blk/silvers were sold out in this region and it could take weeks for one to be delivered. The salesman however, insisted that any color I wanted could be had. So I drove my sorry the 45 miles to the dealer and handed them a fistfull of hundreds for the deposit and was told to come back the next day and pick it up/pay etc. As soon as I got back to my house my cell rang and it was ol' boy from the St**bb's. "sorry," he says "we can't get that blk/silver one, but we have the all black limited edition one sitting right here in the showroom, I can go ahead and write up the order slip on that one for you!" Yeah fookin right says I, and I drove straight back to 'em and picked up my loot. Classic bait and switch-with no apologies from them for time wasted. Anyway I found the bike at Richmond Suzuki and told them about it, and they gave it to me $500 less than St**bbs was going to do it for. Sweet.
sorry about all this ink. I just can't give anymore business to those guys.

dude, dont be sorry bout nothin. i hate when people pull like that. yes, btw, i do work over there, but im in the parts dept., not sales.

hopefully it was just an honest mistake, but i tend to give more benfit of the doubt than i should. that kind of thing is starting to drive me crazy about retail. everyone seems so freaking pre-occupied with doing anything to make a sale. :BangHead: it shouldnt take a genius to figure out making a customer is worth alot more than making the one sale. i wish there was somethin i could do, all i can do is try to treat folks right when they come for parts.

if you wouldnt mind, tell me which guy you talked to? if you dont feel like calling them out, just PM his name or description, im tryin to keep tabs on who is who so i know who to send people to, you know? i want to send good customers to the good salesmen, who will treat them right, and hook up the good sales guys with customers.

i dont think anyone there reads this forum, so i guess im like the undercover MH spy in the motorbike industry,:topsecret and if they do, oh well.

I get all my stuff from Richmond Suzuki. Those guys know how to take care of their customers and they realize that great service brings repeat business. And the pricing is good as well!

stubbs/richmond

stubbs on telephone take real good care of me when i need them. (even though they dont stock a dam thing) but a dude named Josh is real good about working with the cuctomer. he is in parts,
luckily for me when I need to order factory parts I gett em dam near what stubs pays for em or cheaper from my best kept lil secret. example....05 GSXR 600 RADiator NEW at dealer 560 give or take a few. I paid 400. new in box from suzuki OEM> -$150

but the guys at richmond suzuki are the sh*it!
they take good care of you and know that the little things keep you customers coming back! they get 4 thumbs up.

those export outport guys can suck a white golf ball! LOL
just my 2 cents

I agree, get bad service, spread it around for all to be aware, and buy elsewhere indeed.
