New to MH and Riding in general

Hi, My names Toan

I'm new to MH and riding in general, but will be taking a riders course to receive a license this Summer with a buddy of mine. Pretty stoked to get started. I'd like to get as much info as possible from safety to what gear to buy. Since Summer is approaching I thought I'd get a head start and learn as much as I can before getting on a bike. Any info and tips would be awesome. First question though is what type/brand of helmet should I buy since I find borrowing the schools helmet a little gross?

I recommend going to a local shop and trying them on and see which one you like the best. If you have a bit of extra money, I have the Shoei and love it.
