Another lucky SOB.

The title is a bit harsh. Even if he was inexperienced, the truck clearly took a right turn from the left lane.

Yikes. Looked like plenty of time to stop to me...

This is why I don't use rear brakes on the street.

looks like he was going right from the left because he had to swing wide. If the rider had been watching the road instead of looking around he might have seen that in time.

My thoughts exactly. Also he looks to be going slightly faster than he should...

I would think that both parties are at fault here. He was going to fast and not paying attention to his surroundings. The truck swung WAY to wide for that turn. But hey.......... you live.............. you learn. (well hopefully)

yup, even though he appeared to be speeding , I think I could have still stopped no problem.
I think the title fits, he was riding like a clueless douche

pretty sure he was just looking off to right lane before switching.

doing what was probably TWICE the speed limit was a huge factor here. that guy was a freaking lucky idiot.

Speed was certainly a factor. Take away the head spin, and you're left with more than enough time to see, evaluate, execute. Regardless of a little speed

Not to mention the guy in the road with the yellow flaggers vest waving his arms to slow down...

Rider was lucky he got away with total stupidity.

Motorcyclist is speeding down road.

sees truck pull out, from right hand side and truck goes to left lane. At this point rider is slowing down. Rider then checks right, lane changes right, to accelerate past the car and truck on his left lanes. (he does not anticipate the truck that just pulled into the left hand lane, is now going to go full turn, back across traffic where it just came from.)

Think about this for a moment. Not saying who is right or the wrong, but strange happens...fully view the video again, and think about your actions, and what you are about to do, when seeing a truck pull out from your right, and go to the far left hand lane.

he had a plan. he just didnt anticpate the truck doing a 180!

again. not saying its the truck, or bikers fault, but just view the situation as if that was you..

(and by the way, that was over use of front brake, not rear.)

If you use your brakes to stop instead of your pants you usually stop much sooner. That guy had all day to stop he just panicked and tucked the front.
