Tomball suzuki

So I took my friend bike up there to have the oil changed on it it only has about 4,000 Mi on the bike. My friend said he lost the washer on the oil drain plug so it has a little oil leak & it only cost a dollar to replace please have them replace it. I get a call from a mechanic saying he needs to talk to me, I call him back & he said I have it taken apart & I think your oil might be leaking by the sproket but I really think its the oil pan gasket.
So here are my questions:

#1
Has any body had a problem with this dealer?

#2
Has any body had the oil pan gasket leak on your bike or a friends bike with 4,000 Mi on it?

Any info will be appreciated. I want to make sure they are not trying to put the screws to my friend.

I just need to get it to Patrick

My bike has 38,500 Mi & no leaks so I thought it was kinda funny that the oil pan gasket needs to be changed out at 4,000 Im no motorcycle mechanic but I call BULLSHIT on thei part.

My Suzuki leaked from the front sprocket area once because it was loose.

And +1 to take it to Patrick if you can't figure it out. Not too far from Tomball.

My office is lass than half a mile for Tomball Suzuki. Do yourself a favor and take it to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited. There is a reason they have no inventory and the parking lot is always empty. That should of been your first indication there was a problem.

does your dad use his 4 wheeler at the deer lease?

It's quite common for atv service departments to be absolutely swamped during that time of year with 4-6 weeks of wait time. Very similar phenomenon to watercraft service departments this time of year, everyone brings the skis in at the same time! Regardless, my dealings with Tomball Suzuki are very limited due to the fact that i received treatment there years ago and refused to go back. . .guess some things never change!!!

Did you inspect the bike before taking it yourself?

How knowledgeable is your friend on bikes. If he knew that's the problem why not just buy the washer and do it himself or ask you to do it??

Sure there is not more to this story? Did you tell the guy this when you took it? or when you spoke on the phone? If you did, what did he tell you about it.

You are leaving stuff out it seems.

Phishy...

Thank you for the info, but it is my friends bike & he asked if I could please take it there & now that all this has transpired I am going to take it to Motorcycles Unlimited & spread the good word to my friend he doesnt have a lot of $$$ so I am going to pay to have Motorcycles Unlimited check it out & give me the truth about the situation.
Wait scratch that does Motorcycles Unlimited charge to check out bikes?
