if u think most ppl here or anywhere on real motorcycles started on scooters youd be dead wrong. the good "starter" bikes are considered the ninja 250, 500. gs500, sv650. not even racer x recomends a scooter to learn on for people who want to ride motorcycles.

i dont hate on them. i think its great how practical and economical they are...but they are just a different class of vehicle alltogether. scooters can be cool...among scooter enthusiasts...

...but around bikers it really isnt ever gonna happen...just a fact of life.

for the same reason if anyone says they are getting their first bike and it's not a 125cc then they will get a shitstorm unloaded on them.

That's my point of this whole complex. Where did this begin with you, your distaste.

The true bikers, are the ones who appreciate everything on two wheels.

I don't like cruisers cause they all look the same, and I don't ride sportbikes, though they look nice, becuase i don't wanna ride like that (fast enough to not be seen, and not long enough becuase of the riding position). I do like riding dirtbikes cause you can just go anywhere.

My bike has a sportbike look, with a cruiser riding position. This bike can be great in the twisties as some of you have seen, and did your own little research (lol), but I'm a commuter (I work Greater Houston area), and a tourer. Not a thrill seeker, like most sportbike people.

I like not having to where a full face helmet, cause well I can, cause I got a windsheild. (a bandido excepted my request to go riding we were heading the same way, no helmet, no goggles, no sheild going 95mph, that's nuts)(Again, to each his own)

The point is we all have a different way to ride, and the way I ride, this bike fits me well.

Its just funny, people like you prevent people from even making a decision on there own. Like lemmings. If I have offended anyone with what I have written.

Don't take it personal, it's lemmings. Just like the guy who didn't want to admit he rode a scooter when he was 12, so he voted no on a formality

So you advocate riding 90 without gear?

Nice.

And no, a Tmax doesn't have a "sportbike look".. nice try.

If you think the only reason to wear a full face helmet is wind protection, then youre dumber than I thought.

Go run as fast as you can and dive face first into the ground, see how that feels.

I'm not too sure why I'm even posting on this troll's stupid thread but I am certain of 2 things;
1. The only person that has a "scooter complex" is the OP. The rest of us really don't give a what you ride.
2. Ormand is queer as a 3 dollar bill. The overuse of the word "deelish" (so gay!!!) brought on the suspicions but the desire for a pink and white Honda Metropolitan PROVES IT!!!

This is a crock of . A true biker can hate other kind of bikes. It's about the riding that matters.

I think scooters suck!

Ok im lying I obviously work with Honda scoots, mainly the Ruckus,on a daily basis.I also ride big bikes like everyone else on this board but it doesn't make me not wanna ride my Rucks around. When I finally get my Duc i should put a "my other bike is a 50cc scooter" sticker on it.
