It's a song (of sorts) that was made into a movie and the movie

S U C K E D

The song is great because it's up to your imagination to see the story.

Must have been a special circumstances for you because this is allowed in TX. I recently became a qualified TX driving instructor (basically just pay $20) to get my son his learner's permit. I remembered reading specific wordage allowing this so I looked it up again. Here is verbatim quote from TX Drivers Handbook, Page 6-3.

PASSING ON THE RIGHT
In Texas and many other states, you may pass on the right only when conditions permit you to do so safely, such as:
1. The road is clear of parked vehicles or other things and is wide enough
for two or more lanes in each direction.
2. You are on a one-way road.
3. You may pass on a paved shoulder when the vehicle you are passing is
slowing or stopped on the main travelled portion of the highway, disabled, or
preparing to make a left turn.
Do not pass on the right by driving off the paved portion of the highway.

Thanks Bullet.
I got this one on my bike about 4 years ago coming home from a concert after 2:00am. I think this thread needs your input on the lane splitting and any technicality that can be used to get this guy off the hook. Good information!! Thanks again.

I at least tried to slow down for it... that guy just flattened it... there were feathers and guts everywhere...
Most people were to defeated to care. I wished I would have recorded the 100 mile traffic jam. Probably never happen again cause I'm not leaving.
