I rode with Ridesmart on Sunday at TWS (Texas World Speedway). The wind was pretty bad but overall I had a great time. There were very few delays and I got plenty of seat time. I worked on staying on the gas longer through t7-t8. It always seems like I get to the top of the hill and there is a ton of track left!

P.S. I am not sure if the guy that was complaining was complaining about me. I passed someone between 3 & 4 that was going slower than me in the corners (yes, there were a few). He came out of 3 in the middle of the lane and appeared to be holding it. I guned it to pass on the left and just as I did he started moving over to the left. By the time I passed I think he was about a foot away from me and I had about 2" of track left. Had he followed the line he would have been on the left at exit and I could have passed on the right. Lesson learned though. I will pass on the right between 3 & 4 from now on knowing that folks will be moving to the left to setup for 4.

What a great day it was.
It wasn't his first trackday.New people to the track (me too)need time to learn the lines so they will be unpredictable. It was best to find a long straight to make that pass.Hail thank you for sharing.

Lol. I did feel bad. That actually could have been real bad and it would have been my fault. Kalanie is absolutely right. I should have waited for a longer straight. All part of my learning curve.

Man the bikes were out in force this weekend, welcome to the 2011 track season, great to hear/see everyone was out ripping it up, the wind was but really didnt cause any trouble on laptimes from what I can tell I laid down a personal best at TWS (Texas World Speedway).

Great seeing all the familiar faces and meeting some new ones, it will be great to see how they improve through the year. see you guys at MSR Im skipping ECR.

The wind was different, but not unbearable. Felt it turning in on 4, back into the headwind, and a little more headshake on the front straight.

That back straight was a little more bumpy than I remember it though.
Beautiful weather though!

I did GSS sunday, and it was ! I rode to the track from home, and somewhere along the way, lost my oil filler cap, and showed up with at least a quart of oil on my back, rear tire, and basically everything. The guys in CMA got me on a trailer and into autozone for an emergency fix, so I was on the track before lunch The instructors were great, and very helpful and encouraging. Even got my knees down and scuffed up my pucks! I did go off-roading in turn 12 twice, but after working with an instructor for a few laps he fixed that real quick
The SBN took real good care of me in the paddocks couldn't have done my first TD without Aarons' help!

That was at my corner (10) on sunday. Scared the out of me because from my angle it looked like she almost got her head run over from the biker behind her. She came out seemingly ok, not sure how the bike faired, it was taken out on the crash truck :(

It seemed like it slid pretty smooth though. A fairing, foot brake and clip on is about the minimum youre going to get away with on any low-side. I'd be thankful! Plus, you have pictures. If I ever wreck, a video and/or pictures would take a little of the suck out of it...haha.

Did she have any injuries?

Like I said, it looked like her head was less than a foot away from the guy behind her's front tire from my angle...

I've had the back end walk out on me in corner 10 before...it has one or two bumps right in the apex of the corner that can be a little un-nerving...especially to a noob like me.

The cornerworkers did an awesome job on Sunday @ TWS (Texas World Speedway)!
The worker in 6 was running at me to warn me about the busa down in the track early morning. It allowed me extra time to stand it up, slow down, and look around.
I always saw all the yellows early as well.

Thanks to you guys!

Yea, good thing you weren't there on Saturday...I think the was one of the ambulance rides...it was at least a visit. They said the guy that crashed just suffered from a sprained wrist. The corner worker over there said he wasnt moving much and never got up.

Thats a scary corner to crash in...if it happens, its usually pretty bad as its a high-speed corner.
