Trackday was great! Not much downtime at all. Props to the event staff, instructors and especially the Track Marshall.

Special Props to Pyrobug and AJ for giving me some good advice. Went faster than I ever have at TWS (Texas World Speedway). Worked on getting out the corners quicker and staying on it in the straights instead of riding my faster corner speeds around the track.

All in all a great day, except for the guy who yelling in class about getting passed in the straights.

It's a trackday at a racetrack dude.....not a MSF class.
I'm pretty sure he said they where passing him in turns when level 1 wasn't approved to pass yet

If I'm wrong the instructors also said to make SAFE passes on the straights

I had plenty of guys pass me on the straights but park in the corner

It isn't a race day its a trackday

Sunday besides the wind was perfect.

I rode at TWS (Texas World Speedway) for the first time and had a blast. The whole day I was working on lines and body positioning.

The instructors where awesome.

Was at TWS (Texas World Speedway) this whole weekend...rode in L1 and then held over in L3 to turn some hot laps...well hot to me. Saw a bunch of improvement throughout the weekend with the L1 riders. Had a lot of positive feedback from the students. Tad bit windy this weekend, but with the turn in points that Dirk/Brandt marked I was able to improve some of my lines. All in all great weekend. Sore as today but totally worth it.

Did GSS with fastlane. had a blast.

my buddy Mike(r6vsr1) and I convoyed down there.

Learned that despite fresh fluid..my ZX10-R gets WICKED brake fade...

almost dumped it (had to break SUPER FRIGGIN HARD out of turn 1) when a fellow rider forgot to signal that he was pitting.

had a good time chasing Mike(instructor) around.

need to practice my line a little in turn 12 (i think its 12) and MIGHT try for intermediate next time. dunno.

-Bryan.

P.S..I'm the D-bag with the Safety helmet.

I did my first ever Trackday at TWS (Texas World Speedway) on Sunday. Been riding for 20 years and Sunday I learned I had not been riding for 20 years.

I had an amazing time and can't wait to go again. All I cared about Sunday was learning the lines. I don't care about hauling in the straights. Much more interested in the pace. I will worry about hauling and braking later.

Next time I need to seek more assistance form the instructors. My best session was one where the instructor led me the entire session 5 showing me the line through a few turns I struggled with. It was very gratifying after a couple laps for him to look back and nod. Mind you he was leading me and looking back with one hand on his hip while I felt like I was really hauling. The point was I was sticking the line and not that I was fast.

Finally, I learned that I to can melt tires. ...but apparently everyone can.

P.S. My info on the left is finally correct with one track day. I never found a ZERO for number of track days. I felt it was important to set that straight.

My Sunday was spent at the Fastline event.

Best trackday ever

We learned the same thing. Pyrogenic just spent $250 on a 12' X 12' and it lasted an hour.

Yeah, I had the checkered tape on yesterday. Let me know if you have any good ones, I'll be sure to credit you if I use them.
Guess I lied. I think the ones I had of your bike ended up coming out blurry so i deleted them. Guess next time you should go slower

haha

Hows your ankle? I saw most of that crash from corner working at turn 10...you slid quite a while. We were all worried when you weren't getting up.

Rode my first track day with Ridesmart at TWS (Texas World Speedway) (2nd track day overall) and I will definitely be doing it again! I got a chance to improve body position and corner speed since my first track day. My instructor was awesome and gave me some good tips on improving my line... it made a huge difference.
