CB1000R or Z1000

big honda cb1000r xess 01
2010 kawasaki z1000

im planning on getting a new bike late this year or early next year...depends on when my RX8 will be paid off. I want a liter bike, but i already know if i got 6 speeding tickets on my 900rr...a newer fireblade wont be the right choice for me

no im considering these two because i plan on doing a lot more riding then just up and down 610 to and from work this time around, and granted i havent sat on either i still want a light and agile performorer instead of going full on touring bike.

anyway whats some opinions...which would you get

For the above posters:

It is a CB1000R, not a CBR.

Anyway, the CB1000R looks much more clean. The kawi just looks all jumbled together.

So you post pictures of a modded to CB1000R, but a stock photo of the Z1000? I know you can get Z1000's a lot cheaper than MSRP. Not so sure Honda would offer a deal anywhere close.

Yeah if the choices are a stock kawi or a +6000-7000$ cost honda, I'll take the honda.

But at stock? I like the kawi more.

Exactly, the bike in that pic looks nothing like the one that will actually be sitting in dealerships. Post that pic for comparison.

The Kawi is pretty comfortable, and has been very trouble free. I'll reserve an opinion for the Honda until it gets stateside and I actually ride one.

Both are great bikes, and you won't be let down either way you go!

That being said, I'm obviously biased towards the KWAK, since I own an '03 Zed1K. I love the bike, and I hear the new iteration is leaps and bounds above my model!

I'd sit on both and see which is more comfortable, that may end up being the deciding factor!

I'm looking to trade my ZX10 for the Z1000...

The Honda is nice, but I'd expect it to be MUCH much more expensive (for the first several months, particularly).
