Routes around Austin

My son is going to be out of town weekend after next and I'm thinking about taking a ride out to Austin. Anybody have recommendations on good routes out there?

Maybe something up around 620 or 1431 so we could stop at the Oasis, but the last time I was out there it was PACKED.

I was thinking about hooking up with the Austin chapter of the tsba but I doubt I could hang with them if I'm riding two-up with my girlfriend.

Thanks!

Where is 21? I plotted a route down the Backbone, but I don't see 21 off 71...

if you take 290W, once you get about 3/4 the way, you'll come to 21W going towards Bastrop/San marcos, 21W goes into 71w....71w then turns into 290 again...do the same in reverse....
